School Library Award
The Knowsley SLS School Library Award is a new accreditation scheme for school libraries.
The award is a self assessment process which is carried out by a designated member of school staff and endorsed by the Head Teacher. It is then submitted to the School Library Service for assessment. The process is designed to be flexible and achievable for busy people. The assessment tool provides a measure of how well your school library is doing. It gives an snapshot of where your library is at the moment and enables you to plan for future progression. On completion, each school will receive a certificate to display in the school foyer and one for your school library.
If your school would like to work towards achieving the School Library Award please contact Pauline.threlfall@Knowsley.gov.uk There is an administration fee of £10 for schools with a Service Level Agreement or £25 for non-subscribing schools.
