November Book of the Month

Who Let The Gods Out by Maz Evans is a fab, funny adventure story that will keep kids reading right through to that cliff-hanger of an ending!

Elliot’s mum is ill, there’s no money coming in and they are about to lose their home. Added to this, he’s in trouble at school and the world’s nosiest neighbour won’t stop interfering. So the last thing Elliot needs is for a shooting star to crash land into the cowshed. Enter the goddess Virgo, sent to Earth on a mission. But when Elliot and Virgo accidentally release the Daemon of Death from his prison, things start to get really hectic…and hilarious!

The story moves at an incredible pace and the adventure just doesn’t stop. The  zany characterisation of the Gods is really clever and funny, plus there’s a cameo appearance for her Majesty the Queen. This is a great  read. The first in a series of four books, Who Let The God’s Out has just been shortlisted for the Books Are My Bag Awards and the Carnegie nominations. I’ve got the next one at the ready…
