The Revised reading Framework: Reading for Pleasure

Knowsley School Library Service is working to support schools in the development of reading for pleasure in line with the newly revised Reading Framework. Here are some of the ways in which we can help:

• Provide a wide range of quality books for your classrooms and libraries
• Professionally selected age-appropriate curriculum texts
• Regularly updated and refreshed book collections
• Diverse texts to extend children’s horizons
• Transitional texts for KS2/KS3
• Targeted books to support SEND, specific needs and wellbeing
• Help to develop teacher’s knowledge of children’s literature
• Audit of books in your reading corners and libraries
